Inspect before the carton closes. — Quality control and inspection for metal fasteners and anchors
A final visual check cannot recover a wrong thread or an undersized plate. The control points below sit at the stages where a correction is still possible without scrapping the batch.
- Hold points
- Material · in-process · finish · final · dispatch
- Records
- Agreed per order
- Certification
- Not claimed unless issued
Incoming material
- Material grade and diameter against the order
- Surface condition and straightness
- Batch identification where traceability is required
In-process dimensions
- Thread diameter, pitch and gauge fit
- Length, under-head radius and chamfer
- Hole position, slot length and plate thickness
Surface finish
- Coating coverage and appearance
- Thread fit after coating
- Stainless grade marking and surface condition
Final inspection
- Dimension check on sampled parts
- Quantity against the packing list
- Packing method, labelling and carton condition
Dispatch records
- Packing list issued with the shipment
- Inspection record where the order requires it
- Photographs of packing before the container is closed
Documentation
What can be requested — and what is not claimed
Documentation is only useful if it refers to the batch that was actually shipped. Each document below is requested with the enquiry and confirmed for the specific order. No certificate, approval or standard compliance is displayed on this site before the matching document has been issued.
Important
ISO, CE, ETA, ASTM or any other certification is not claimed on this website. If a project requires an approval or test report, state it in the enquiry and the factory will confirm whether the document can be provided.
Material certificate
Issued against the steel heat or batch where the mill document is available.
Dimensional inspection report
Sampled dimensions recorded for the order; sampling plan agreed with the buyer.
Coating report
Coating thickness or mass measurement where the finishing supplier provides it.
Third-party inspection
Can be arranged at the buyer's nomination and cost, subject to scheduling.
Availability is confirmed per order and per size. A generic document for a different batch or diameter should not be accepted as evidence.
Non-conformance
Parts that fail a hold point are segregated and the disposition — rework, replace or reject — is recorded before the batch continues.
Buyer hold points
Where an order requires the buyer's inspector to witness a stage, the hold point is agreed in writing before production is released.
Packing verification
Carton quantity, label content and pallet configuration are checked against the packing list before dispatch.

Which documents do you need?
State the certificate, test report or inspection standard in the enquiry. The factory will confirm what can be issued for the specific batch and size.
