Product information
Self-drilling screws cut their own hole and form the thread in one operation, which is what makes them suitable for thin-gauge sub-frames and for closing up flashings where access behind the sheet is not possible.
The screw is supplied with a bonded washer so the hole is sealed as it is driven. Drill point type, thread pitch and length are chosen against the total thickness being joined — too short and the thread does not fully engage, too long and the point protrudes.
