Product information
An embed plate puts a steel bearing point into a concrete member before it is poured. The plate face stays flush with the concrete surface and the welded anchor bars develop the load behind it, so a steel bracket can be bolted or welded on afterwards without a post-installed anchor.
Assemblies are produced to the layout drawing: plate size and thickness, slot or hole pattern, anchor bar diameter, bar length and weld position. Where the plate is a weld plate rather than a bolted one, the weld detail and the plate grade are agreed before production.

Frequently asked questions
Why galvanize after welding?
Welding burns the coating off around the joint. Galvanizing afterwards covers the weld and the heat-affected zone, which is where corrosion starts.
Can the plate be supplied for site welding?
Yes, with a weldable grade and a primed back face. Tell us the welding procedure so the grade and primer match it.
