Product information
These are the two bent forms that a straight bolt cannot replace. A square bend wraps a rectangular hollow section on three sides, so the bolt cannot rotate while the nut is run down; a single-end bolt has one threaded leg with a hook or a bend at the other, used where access exists on one side only.
Both are formed from bar and then threaded, so the bend radius and the leg centres are set by the former. Galvanizing follows forming, which is the only way to cover the outside of the bend.

Frequently asked questions
Why a square bend instead of a U-bolt?
A square bend sits flat against a rectangular section on three faces, so it cannot turn while the nut is tightened. A U-bolt on a square section only contacts at the corners.
Can the hook be closed after installation?
Only if it is supplied soft. Galvanized or hardened hooks are formed before coating and should not be bent on site.
